My work focuses on the 'Narrative' and how it is applied to acts of violence. While This Concept is often ascribed to works of fiction and myth, I am interested in how we apply it to our construct of reality. To look at ‘fiction’ and ‘non-fiction’ is to look at a cycle. A fictional work takes form in the experiences of its creators and in turn, it inflects a kind of ‘truth’ onto the consumer. Unfortunately, ‘reality’ is not a very succinct storyteller and the narrative becomes a manipulator. How are items structured to convey information and motivate? How do these structures fall apart?
