Mother Night
Mother Night is an ongoing research project examining Department of Defense assisted films over the past century. The goal of these films is to aid in recruitment and retainment in the Armed Forces. My project asks the three following questions of assisted works: what is being sold, how is it being sold, and why is it being presented in this manner? At the moment, the work utilizes text and imagery to convey contextual and historical information as objectively possible.
